Day - 10 Last Day in Paris ~ Louvre

sunny 23 °C

This museum deserves more than a few hours. You can't even see everything in a few days. Of course the Mona Lisa was the HIGHLIGHT

Day 11 - Last day in Paris

sunny 22 °C

Okay..we have a big push on today to see a few of the last places on our must sees of Paris. Really we are living no illusions that we have seen lots because after 4 days we feels we haven't seen anything....every street and alley has so much. No regrets though!

Day 13 - Juno Beach ~~ Normandy

sunny 26 °C

CAR DAY ~~~ WEEEEEE! We are trying not to hate our backpacks so early in the trip. ;o)

Today we are heading to Normandy. We felt it would be pretty difficult to not go and pay our respects since we were so close to the area.
We made it to Caen Normandy and decided to rest tonight and headout in the morning to see all the sights of this really beautiful City. Juno Beach is where the Canadian landed so we'll go there first!

Day 13 - Mont Saint-Michael

sunny 26 °C

Holly Castle Batman!

I think these pictures will speak for themselves. Mont Saint-Michel is surrounded by water once the tide comes in! Plus it's built on rock which is visible as you walk along the passage ways.

Day 13 - Canadian Cemetery

sunny 26 °C

This was a very humbling experience to see 2000 headstones - knowing that everyone of these men died from my freedom. These men ( boys some of them) were from all parts of Canada...in particular...Newfoundland and Nova Scotia.
